Healthfirst Enterprises, Inc. has dedicated itself to providing exceptional training in CPR and First Aid to individuals, groups and corporations in the Mid-Atlantic region since 1992. We take great pride in delivering programs that are customized to meet the specific needs of our customers, large or small, near or far. Helping others learn CPR and First Aid is what we do every day and we are thankful for the opportunity and privilige to be engaged in this endeavor that we believe is one of the most important activities we could ever be involved in. Our instructors are educated, skilled, dynamic presentors and prepared to facilitate any size group in any location at any time that is convenient for you. Our president and owner, Karl Koops, is a hands on manager, instructor and trainer. He has a Masters Degree in Therapeutic Recreation and has more than 25 years facilitating experiential learning and is a professional in every sense of the word. He has worked in healthcare and a variety of human service agencies at the direct care level and as a manager.
He is no stranger to the blue collar world, as he worked his way through college in a variety of settings which, in addition to his education and professional experience, prepared him to relate to a wide variety of people from a multitude of different cultures.
He has been happily married for the last 30 years and has 3 grown sons ages 24, 21 and 18. He grew up in Denver Colorado, moved to Maryland in 1969, and, since being married, lived in Virginia and South Dakota. He currently lives near Myersville, MD where he, with the help of his wife and sons, restored a 200 year old farm house. Karl enjoys farming (horses, cows, chickens) and every form of recreation imaginable. He is fun, creative and a positive person to be around.
Naturally, Karl is a great inspiration to the staff who work with him and he is dedicated to helping them achieve success in every aspect of their lives. The care for his staff is quite evident and carries over in noticable ways that help them to care for you, our current or potential customer, in ways that validate you and effectively serve you as efficiently as possible.
Lisa Wease joined HealthFirst in January, 2006. She is a wonderful, caring person and compliments Karl's style of leadership with her own in a way that uniquely contributes to excellent customer service. Lisa is responsible for establishing a relationship with all of our customers that facilitates the confidence and trust necessary to engage their committment.
