Description:
With this program, participants learn to recognize the signs and symptoms of injuries and sudden illness. Crucial information about how to deal with emergencies including victim assessment, bleeding, burns, shock, severe allergic reactions, asthma, sprains, broken bones, head, neck and back injuries, diabetes, wounds, seizures, heat exhaustion, heat stroke, hypothermia, stings, bites, poisoning and any other topics related to your environment.
Intended Audience:
Individuals who require or desire elementary first aid knowledge and skills with a focus on adults, children or both; including emergency response teams in business and industry, school bus drivers, adult residential care personnel, child care workers, teachers, parents, babysitters and others.
Required Student Materials:
All materials will be provided at the class. Access to a digital book will be included.
Certification Issued:
2-year American Safety & Health Institute First Aid completion card
